  • Taipei 101 Financial Center
    • ​Located in Xinyi District, the landmark skyscraper received Platinum certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design LEED rating system. The building is currently the tallest green building in the world. The structure comprises of 5 basement levels and 101 floors above ground. The Observation Decks consists of several floors of 360-degree views of the city of Taipei. The Outdoor Observatory stands 1,285 ft (391.8 m) tall.
    • Elephant Mountain (象山) is a 1.5 km hiking trail with a clear view of the Taipei 101 architecture. The elephant-shaped mountain climbs 183 meters high.
  • National Palace Museum
    • ​The National Palace Museum holds a collection of eight thousand years of historical Chinese art. The permanent collection consists of nearly 700,000 pieces of ancient Chinese imperial artworks and artifacts.
  • Liberty Square
    • ​Located in Zhongzheng District, the public plaza covers over 240,000 square meters and is a piece of history symbolic of Taiwan’s transition from one-party rule to modern democracy in the 1990s.
  • Confucius Temple
    • ​The temple was constructed in 1665 in the West Central District of Tainan. The Confucius Temple accompanies the National Academy and Ming-Lun Hall (the Hall of Ethics) and serves as a location for lectures and cultivate intellectuals. The West Sanctuary Ta-Cheng Hall (the Hall of Great Achievement)  houses the mortuary tablet of Confucius and his distinguished disciples.
  • Night Markets
    • ​The famous night markets in Taiwan are marketplaces that occupy sidewalks adjacent to or entire streets. These markets operate daily in both urban and suburban areas with offerings of specialty drinks, xiaochi (small plates,) clothing, and consumer goods. The energetic atmosphere is generally surrounded by music playing over the speakers of vendors lining the streets.
